When you find out you or your child needs braces or Invisalign, you begin looking for an orthodontist in your area. Of course, a quick search for "Invisalign near me" will offer you 1,378,275,084 results in seconds. How do you go from that to a shortlist that will be right for your family?

If you're searching for a reputable Orthodontist in Monmouth County, NJ, our team of skilled professionals at Monmouth-Ocean Orthodontics are here to help you achieve the straight, beautiful smile you've always dreamed of.  We think Monmouth-Ocean Orthodontics would be the best choice. But we also want you to know why that is such an excellent choice for your family. We're relatively new, but not really. Let us explain.

Does the Provider Matter?

Yes, the provider does matter. Invisalign® trains service providers, so yes, they all do pretty much the same thing. However, if you have a provider with experience, they are quicker, more accurate, and sure of themselves. They have a track record of successful treatments. That all makes a difference. While providing the same service, in the same manner, experience accounts for a considerable amount of customer (that's you) satisfaction.

Although Monmouth-Ocean Orthodontics seems like the new kids on the block, our doctors have a combined 36 years of service to this community. Drs. Eli Halabi, Kevin Lang, and Haim Tawil have been serving the Jersey Shore community for a long time. Now they have combined their expertise into one orthodontic specialty group.

Explaining What Invisalign Provider Levels Mean

Align Technology, the creators of Invisalign, rate each service provider based on the number of successful treatment plans. These ratings renew every year, so orthodontists must continue to produce successful results to maintain their rating level.

There are eight levels, from Bronze to Diamond+:

  1. Bronze
  2. Silver
  3. Gold
  4. Gold+
  5. Platinum
  6. **Platinum+
  7. Diamond
  8. Diamond+

**Monmouth-Ocean Orthodontics is a Platinum+ Invisalign provider.

That means that they have a lot of experience working with Invisalign treatment plans and have a lot of happy smiles as a result. We're not at the top of the provider levels yet. But we are working toward being a Diamond+ provider.

How Invisalign Creates Great Smiles

Traditional metal braces use tension created by the archwire to pull teeth into alignment. Invisalign uses gentle pressure to push teeth into alignment. While the difference may seem subtle, it makes a more comfortable treatment method. It is also almost invisible.

Invisalign is a tray alignment system that you wear right over your teeth. Each custom tray gradually moves teeth into proper alignment. You need to wear the aligners for 20 to 22 hours each day, but they can be removed for oral hygiene, drinking, and eating. The trays come in sets in sequential order, and you'll switch to a new set about every two weeks.

As you progress through the sequence of trays, your teeth are gently pushed into alignment. The process begins with the orthodontist creating a 3D "map" of your mouth using a digital scanner.

iTero® Intraoral Scanner

The iTero intraoral scanner looks like a little wand attached to a computer monitor. The wand is a high-speed camera that can take up to 6,000 images per second. The images almost instantly transform into a 3D image of your mouth. Within three minutes, the doctor can create the model used to create your custom Invisalign trays.

The iTero scanner integrates with computer-aided design programs that allow the doctor to manipulate the image and create a complete treatment plan.

ClinCheck® Software

Using ClinCheck software, your doctor can create a unique treatment plan in minutes. The doctor can complete the process from examination to a complete treatment plan in one appointment.

The features of CAD software and an experienced orthodontist increase the effectiveness of treatment in the industry.

SmartTrack® Material

Invisalign trays use SmartTrack Material, a polymer explicitly created for this tray alignment system. No other tray aligners have it. The polymer was developed over eight years after testing more than 260 polymers.

SmartTrack material is highly durable, producing reliable results every time.

SmartForce® Attachments

SmartForce attachments are tiny fixtures that can increase tooth movement when necessary. By attaching a small, shaped piece directly to a tooth, the trays fit over the attachment, creating more pressure directly on a specific tooth. Although not necessary in every case, the use of SmartForce attachments increases the efficiency of Invisalign in more complex alignment cases.

Fantastic Options for Younger Patients

Initially created to fill a gap for adults needing minor alignment adjustment, Invisalign has continuously adapted to the orthodontic market. Align Technology continues to introduce new technology and products to serve a wider variety of alignment issues and patients. The creation of Invisalign Teen and Invisalign First brought Invisalign use into the youth market.

Invisalign Teen

Teens can be self-conscious. They are active, and friends are their primary focus as they run out for pizza. Spontaneity is their only plan for the moment -- and Invisalign Teen fits perfectly into the model.

Developed to focus on busy teens, Invisalign Teen in Monmouth County, NJ, is an excellent fit for their busy lives. The trays are removable, so an impromptu pizza party is no problem. Your teen removes the trays, eats pizza, brushes, and reinserts the trays. Athletics? No problem because they can remove the trays for practice and games where a mouthguard is required. In non-contact sports, the trays can remain in during play.

Optional Blue Dot monitoring is available on Invisalign Teen. This tiny blue dot allows parents to make sure their teen is wearing the trays correctly quickly. The dot fades if they wear the trays for the required time each day. If the dot doesn't disappear, the trays aren't being worn enough and may cause an extension to the treatment period.

Invisalign First

Invisalign First is an excellent choice for younger patients who require early treatment from age six and up. It is designed to work on children who have lost most of their deciduous (baby) teeth but may not yet have all of their adult teeth. Spacers can help create room in the jaw for erupting adult teeth.

Most children don't require orthodontic care at this age, but when they do, Invisalign First allows your child to receive care without the stigma of metal braces. Invisalign First also includes the optional Blue Dot monitoring system.
